Amazon plans to create a new, high-tech logistics facility with advanced robotics and 2,250 new, full-time jobs on Staten Island.
Gov. Cuomo announced Wednesday that Amazon will open a $100 million, 855,000 square-foot “fulfillment center” at the Global Logistics Park on Staten Island’s West Shore.
The center will be Amazon’s first such facility in New York and joins more than 70 such centers operated by the company as part of its sophisticated product-moving operation.
