The Daily News Food drive is New York City’s largest annual holiday food drive, which last year amassed one million pounds of food to feed thousands of New York City families for an entire winter. The Daily News and City Harvest will launch the Kids Can Help Competition again this year for all participating public schools in the city. The school in each borough which collects the most pounds will be awarded a prize. Last year, schools collected over 275,000 pounds of food.
